John Legend and Chrissy Teigen are expecting their first child together. The “All of Me” singer recently gushed about how well his wife is handling her pregnancy. He also shared how they are preparing for parenthood.
Speaking to People, Legend said that his wife "looks gorgeous all the time," adding that she was handling the pregnancy very well, especially for a first time mom.
The Grammy winner added that they have been preparing for their daughter's arrival since October. He shared that they are in the process of baby proofing their house and making sure that they had everything they needed.
Legend added that they are lucky to get tons of advice from friends when it comes to raising a child. Apart from giving their children a good education, the singer said that they wanted to raise them as good people who care for others.
"Everything else will work itself out if you give them the tools that they need to be successful. They'll go to good schools and they'll have influences around, we know that, but you just want them to be good people and contribute good things to the world," Legend shared.
This echoed Legend's previous statement on E! News when he said that he would not become an overprotective father. Even if they are having a baby daughter, the singer said that he would not dare "put her in a cage" to protect her from men. He added that they would give her freedom to make her own choices and learn from her mistakes.
Meanwhile, Legend and Teigen were recently spotted packing on PDA during a business meal at ROKU in West Hollywood, California.
Onlookers told People that the part Norwegian, part Thai model ordered a "very elaborate" dinner for the two of them. In spite of seeming a bit excessive, the couple was able to finish up everything they ordered. Legend and Teigen reportedly looked all loved up the entire time.
In October, via Instagram, Legend and Teigen announced that they are having their first child. She shared that they have been trying to get pregnant for a while and it has not been an easy journey. She added that they could not wait for everyone to meet their little bundle of joy.
