Jung Joon Young has finally spoken up to address the controversies surrounding his past relationship in a press conference he personally arranged. During the session, the singer bravely admitted the woman who filed charges against him was his ex-girlfriend.

According to Allkpop, the controversies started when his ex-girlfriend complained Jung for sexual assault in August for reportedly filming their intimate activity. However, reports suggest the charges were dropped just a few days after his ex-girlfriend came out.

In the midst of controversies, Jung's label, C9 Entertainment, clarified the artist was accused of sexual assault and not sexual harassment as what other reports would suggest. The agency also revealed Jung is already cleared on all the charges made by his ex-girlfriend.

Despite that, Jung came out to confess he filmed his intimate activity with his ex-girlfriend. However, the singer added the act was committed with his ex's permission. Jung also clarified he did not use a hidden camera in filming their intimate activity.

"It was a video that my ex-girlfriend and I both agreed to film, but I deleted it immediately afterwards. However, the word "hidden camera" had appeared in reports, causing her to greatly fear everything," he said as per Soompi.

Jung added his ex-girlfriend is reportedly regretful of the current situation. "She is a person whose future is very promising, and is a person who is not used to the public's interest. She is deeply regretting how much the situation has become magnified," the singer revealed.

He also said they are both in good terms despite the controversies, revealing that the intimate video was not the reason for their breakup, but his busy schedule. Before he ended the press conference, Jung extended his apologies to his management and to the program he currently handles, as well as his co-workers.

"I sincerely apologize for causing a stir. I decided to hold this press conference in hopes to stop any more damage for us both," the singer said.
