Google's upcoming Oct. 4 event is being rumored to introduce Google Wifi, the company's own brand of router which was said to have similar features like Eero.

According to Android Police, the company plans to launch Google Wifi alongside the Pixel line of smartphones, Google Home and the 4K Chromecast Ultra. The device, which will cost $129 according to the source, is said to have "smart" features and has been designed by Google to link multiple units together.

"Our source claims multiple Google Wifi access points (two or more) can be linked together to create one large wireless network," the site wrote.

This device is being eyed to have same features as the company's OnHub router brand. However, it is unclear whether or not the company will introduce the device separately as part of their "Made by Google" tagline.

Physically, the report is saying that Google Wifi will look like Amazon's Echo Dot.

In addition to Google Wifi, the company's take on the iPhone is also making buzz around the web. According to Mashable, the company posted a video teasing their integration with the iPhone 7 and its hardware. The short clip, released earlier this week, sees Google's horizontal search bar transforming into the smartphone's outline.

As for the launch of their new smartphones, the publication said that the Google is likely to promote the Pixel tagline instead of Nexus in order to compete with Apple's iPhone brand. Reportedly, these devices will be introduced in the market as Pixel and Pixel XL. HTC, on the other hand, will handle the devices' production.
