When rumors of a fifth "Pirates of the Caribbean" movie being in production surfaced, fans could not wait to see beloved actor Johnny Depp slip into the seafaring boots of Captain Jack Sparrow. However, recent news of the actor's divorce with his wife Amber Heard has hindered the progress of the movie.

An earlier coverage on this matter from Independent, Amber Heard had filed for a divorce against ex-husband Johnny Depp and even filed a restraining order, albeit temporarily. While she eventually withdrew the order, the case cost Depp a massive $7 million worth of settlement.

Adding more salt to the wound, the case exposed many of Depp's secretive dark side and unpleasant behavior. Based on his ex-wife's reports, Heard was allegedly subject to numerous physical and psychological abuse from the actor. Because of this case, Depp's focus on filming and acting was taken away by the burdensome stress he's enduring.

TMZ made mention of the actor diverting his attention to being a rock star in order to get away from the stress. Hollywood Vampires is the name of the band, consisting Johnny Depp, Alice Cooper, and Joe Perry to honor the music of the 1970's rock stars who died before.

But with Depp's attention to music, what will this mean for his acting career? Will this new direction for Johnny Depp and this marital issue affect "Pirates of the Caribbean 5: Dead Men tell no Tales?"

The movie is reportedly to be in post-production with a few more finishing touches needed. However, the actor was reportedly in and out of production with his behavior and unprofessionalism which caused the production to be delayed for two weeks.

"Pirates of the Caribbean 5: Dead Men tell no Tales" follows the infamous and comical Captain Jack Sparrow in his search throughout the Seven Seas to find the Trident of Poseidon. With the Trident, Jack Sparrow can control the power of the seas and defeat his old rival Captain Salazar (Javier Bardem). Joining him once again is Will Turner (Orlando Bloom), who is now a captain of the Flying Dutchman, to make the adventure a little more interesting.

"Pirates of the Caribbean 5: Dead Men tell no Tales" is set to hit theaters on May 26, 2017.
