"The Big Bang Theory" Season 10 will start with an awkward family reunion on Penny and Leonard's wedding.

Katey Sagal will guest star once again as Penny's (Kaley Cuoco) mother alongside Jack McBrayer who will debut Randall, ET Online reported. "30 Rock" alum McBrayer will play the role of Penny's infamously mentioned brother who is also drug-making criminal.

The sneak peek shows a family situation for the series amid Leonard (Johnny Galecki) and Penny's renewal of vows. The big day is plagued with awkwardness thanks to the hook-up that happened between Sheldon's mom and Leonard's dad the night before the wedding. The situation is said to bring comedic relief to the bubbling family drama brought about by Penny's family reunion.

In an interview, "The Big Bang Theory" executive director Steve Molaro said that Penny is closer to her father than the rest of her family. He went to say that Penny and her dad will be caught in the middle of the tension between her mother and her brother in the premiere, Entertainment Weekly reported.

"As we know, her brother Randall has been a bit of trouble over the years, selling drugs and being in and out of jail, and that's put a lot of stress on her mom," Molaro explained.

Molaro likewise confirmed that they plan to bring back Sagal and McBrayer for more episodes which will feature less characters. Aside from the two, "Breaking Bad" alum Dean Norris will also make an appearance as an Air Force representative who is interested in Leonard and Sheldon's quantum gyroscope.

"The Big Bang Theory" Season 10 premieres on September 19, 2016.
