South Korean actress Kim So Hyun boldly opened up about some of her insecurities in the past in her appearance in the latest installment of MBC’s “Section TV Entertainment Relay”.
Kim revealed that her eyes had been one of her insecurities in her younger years as they seemed to depict sadness. However, as years pass by, the actress admitted that she have learned to appreciate what seemed to be an imperfection to her.
“I like my eyes, but they also used to be an insecurity of mine. Rather than giving off a bright vibe, something about them seems sad. They were an insecurity because I thought they were the reason why I was only getting offers for depressing roles,” said Kim as quoted by Soompi.
Aside from sharing her insecurities to the audience, the 17-year old star also talked about her upcoming TV drama series “Ruler: Master of the Mask” and her working relationship with her fellow actors. In fact, in the latter part of the show, Kim was very game to share that her onscreen partner Yong Seung Ho is her ideal type when asked by the program hosts.
Directed by Son Hyeong Seok, “Ruler: Master of the Mask” presents the story of Crown Prince Lee Sun (played by Yong) and his journey in fighting for his people’s rights against the greedy giant organization Pyunsoo Hwe. In the series, Kim portrays the role of Han Ga Eun who is the love interest of Lee’s character. The drama series is set to have its premiere on May 10 on MBC.
According to a statement released by the show's staff as quoted by Soompi:“The two actors worked hard to portray the nerve-wracking moment in which the two character’s love story begins, which is why they were able to create such a perfect scene”.
