Detroit Pistons is reported to try some possible trade scenarios to enhance its roster. Some of the scenarios even involving trade of the team’s dynamic duo, point guard Reggie Jackson and center Andre Drummond.

Coach Stan Van Gundy was reported to explore trading option for Jackson with other point guard, according to ESPN. Jackson has recently come back to court in December after knee injury before the 2016-17 season. In his absence, Van Gundy has tried many possibilities in the team roster and managed to get 11-10 winning record.

When the 26-year-old point guard returned, Van Gundy re-installed his original gameplay, utilizing Jackson’s agility and speed to drive to the basket or open the floor. However, Jackson has not returned to his condition before his injury.

He has been very careful to drive into the basket and his teamwork with Drummond needs to be replenished. Since his return, the Pistons booked 16 wins and 20 losses to tally the total 27-30 record and ranked 8th in the East.

Jackson has slipped from his last season’s record after returning from his injury, according to Bleacher Report. He only averages 15.0 points, 5.6 assists and 2.3 rebounds per game this season. Lower than his last season’s 18.8 points, 6.2 assists and 3.2 rebounds.

Meanwhile Drummond remains a strong force in the front court for Pistons. He maintains his game to average 14.7 points and 13.9 rebounds per game. Nevertheless, statistically speaking, the record is a decline from his last season recor dof 16.2 games and leading the league with 14.8 rebounds.

For that reason, coach Van Gundy is rumored to explore trade possibilities of Drummond and Jackson in exchange for the younger players. Van Gundy is reported to talk with Minnesota Timberwolves, Orlando Magic and the Pelicans for Jackson’s trade. However, the 57-year-old coach remains mum about the rumor.
