NCT Dream is the next SM act to make their comeback after Red Velvet, with teaser images released for their first single album "My First and Last."
It's the first comeback for the NCT sub-unit since the release of their debut single "Chewing Gum," which was released last Aug. 2016. However, a member will not be present for this round of promotions based on the group teaser.
SM informed fans ahead of time that Jaemin will not be participating due to his worsening health condition, Soompi reported. Jaemin has not been promoting actively with the group since the end of Nov. last year due to a herniated disc. Meanwhile, fellow members Mark and Haechan are also promoting with NCT 127, who have also made their comeback with "Limitless."
As is the style of SM's teaser cycles, group pictures of NCT Dream were released first. It's expected that individual teasers of the members will follow in the coming days until the album release. One of the group teasers show lyrics written in a chalkboard, keeping up with their school-related theme. The lyrics are written in Korean, Chinese and English and talks about their first and last love, according to Allkpop.
The teaser pictures features NCT Dream in school-related settings, such as a basketball court and a classroom, which fits the group's image so far. NCT Dream showcased their excellent hover board skills in "Chewing Gum" last time, and as expected of SM's acts, also showed off their on-point in-sync choreography. Fans can probably expect for another impressive feat from the group with "My First and Last," and knowing SM, there are plenty of props they can use for their dances.
NCT Dream will release their first single album "My First and Last," on Feb. 9, 2017.
