"Running Man" aired its latest episode on Dec. 25. Since the air date falls on Christmas day, a special broadcast was prepared for the viewers. It was a pleasant episode and the main highlight was the production crew's apology to the cast and fans.

"Running Man" also had a guest and it was the rising teen star Kim So Hyun. The Christmas special tasked the six cast members to play various games while the teen actress hosts the show.

My Daily reported that near the end of the episode, Yoo Jae Suk, Kim Jong Kook, Ji Suk Jin, Haha, Song Ji Hyo and Lee Kwang Soo gathered together and they were given gifts by the staff. There were letters of apology from the "Running Man" crew and some were read aloud for everyone to hear.

Jae Suk opened the enormous gift gift given to them and it contains apples, a bouquet of flowers and a letter addressed to the cast members. After the greeting, part of the message reads, "We are sincerely sorry for the hurt and pain we have caused you. From now on, we will be more hardworking, mature and do our best as staff members."

Eventually, the six members touched on the topic about the show's impending cancellation as well as the recent controversies. While everyone was silent, Jong Kook was the first to break the silence by saying that he thought he will never see the familiar faces in the studio again, yet they are there again, Soompi reported.

For the final message, Jae Suk acknowledged the apology and sincerely said that all of them will work even harder this coming new year. The group's leader also apologized to the viewers once more for making them to worry.

Finally, the six members wished everyone a great holiday. "Running Man" is set to have its finale on February 2017.
