BEAST's Yoon Doo Joon, Red Velvet's Wendy and Lee Soo Geun to team up for 'Raid the Convenience Store' variety show; Wendy to Collaborate with Ricky Martin

Three of the popular celebrities in Korean Entertainment are being put together for the new variety show called "Raid the Convenience Store." It was revealed that BESAST's Yoon Doo Joon, comedian Lee Soo Geun and Red Velvet's Wendy are going to host the tvN show that will replace "Three Meals a Day."

According to Ilgan Sports, the three were deemed perfect to be on the show and they will immediately film the first episode in January. "Raid the Convenience Store" variety show where the guests are required invent a new recipe from ingredients food bought from the convenience store.

The guests are also expected to share their own stories relating to their experiences with eating or cooking instant food. On the whole, the program is a cooking and talk show in one.

Incidentally, this will be Wendy's very first program where she will be one of the main hosts. Doo Joon especially Soo Geun are considered veterans in the world of variety shows for they already appeared in numerous programs before.

Allkpop reported that "Raid the Convenience Store" is scheduled to air its first broadcast on Jan. 13. It was also stated that the program will begin with only three episodes and it was not known whether the program will continue as a permanent program with more episodes to come.

Meanwhile, Red Velvet's Wendy is set to collaborate with Puerto Rican and international singer Ricky Martin. SM Entertainment confirmed the team up on Dec. 23, Yonhap New Agency reported.

SM added that the collaboration is mainly for Martin's upcoming single entitled "VENTE PA'CA." The song is coming to iTunes and Spotify on Dec. 27. Actually, the dance track was already released in September but it was the original Spanish version.

The launch next week is for the English interpretation of "VENTE PA'CA." The original song featured Maluma and it topped the iTunes charts in 18 regions in South America.
