It was almost a month since E3 had shown footages of a new "Star Wars" that is said to be developed by "Dead Space" and "Battlefield Hardline" developer Visceral Games. In recent reports, former "Uncharted" veteran Amy Hennig explains how "Uncharted" may be similar to the upcoming "Star Wars" and, at the same time, different from each other.

In a recent interview with Glixel, Hennig did mention (in a stressing manner) that the game will not be considered as "Star Wars Uncharted." But, instead, the game may be "spiritually similar" to "Uncharted," while having its own essence as a "Star Wars" game.

To clear things up, Naughty Dog's "Uncharted" had the main protagonist Nathan Drake in focus, while "Star Wars" had their stories often told from multiple perspectives, having audiences pinpoint and link the different characters and plot points. That being said, this could lead to how the new "Star Wars" game could be made.

Gamespot had an earlier report back in September where Hennig also previously mentioned the similarities (and also obvious differences) between "Uncharted" and "Star Wars."

"So I thought that some of the rules I had used making 'Uncharted' no longer applied," she said back then. "In 'Uncharted' or in 'Indiana Jones' you actually kinda stick with Indie the whole time. There are times you cut away, but it's always something that informs you on what he is doing, like Marion in the tent. In 'Star Wars' you're always cutting away to the bad guys, and seeing what they're doing: 'Meanwhile, back at the villain ranch...'"

Hennig also had numerous struggles back then even with Visceral Games' GM Steve Papoutsis. His initial pitch to her for the work reportedly involved produce something of a "scrappy" third-person action adventure "Star Wars" game, which Hennig was uneasy in joining in at first.

She stated: "Imagine how heartbreaking it would be to work on something I love so much only to be crushed under the combined wheels of EA, Lucasfilm, and Disney."

Eventually, she went all in with the project with EA to make the "Star Wars" game. Hennig and her team, of course, would work very closely with Lucasfilm, especially with veterans like Kiri Hart (head of story) and Doug Chiang (executive creative director).

The yet untitled "Star Wars" title by Visceral Games is said to be released sometime on 2018.
