Hip hop group Monsta X has finally broken their silence about an alleged plagiarism involving their choreography of Super Junior's "Sorry Sorry."

During a V-app session, Monsta X member Wonho claimed their dance choreography of the hit song was stolen from them. "There's something I really wanted to say. Yesterday during the opening at the DMC Festival, the seniors created a really good stage," Wonho said as per Soompi.

The Monsta X member continued, "They performed Super Junior's "Sorry Sorry" with a dance break. We also had performed 'Sorry Sorry' in Japan, which wasn't broadcast, but it included a dance break that we choreographed. It was our own dance break."

Wonho said they were watching the performance when they realized that the choreography was familiar to them. He also said they even asked a writer about the matter, who told Monsta X that their choreography was given to other groups because "it was cool."

Meanwhile, Kihyun supported his Monsta X co-member by emphasizing that the "Sorry Sorry" dance choreography was created by the boy group. Wonho ended the V-app session by stressing that the dance break was theirs.

According to Allkpop, Kpop artists including BTS, G-Friend, TWICE as well as Leeteuk performed the "Sorry Sorry" choreography claimed by Monsta X at the 2016 DMC Festival of MBC.

On the other hand, fans were outraged upon learning that Monsta X's choreography of "Sorry Sorry" was given to other artists without prior notice. A netizen posted, "I've been watching Monsta X work hard since. No mercy and honestly they deserve more than they receive I'm salty."

Fans of Monsta X even started a hashtag on Twitter to call out MBC to apologize about the issue. Watch Monsta X's performance of Super Junior's "Sorry Sorry" at MBC's Korean Music Wave last August.
