IU joins co-stars in the 2nd teaser of upcoming South Korean drama 'Scarlet Heart: Ryeo'

IU’s new drama series “Scarlet Heart: Ryeo” is on its way to the Korean TV screens! In the show’s new teaser released on August 16, the actress’ sneak peeks together with her good-looking male co-stars were revealed.

The 23-year old star’s character was seen to have encountered the handsome princes of the Baekje Kingdom in the new teaser, All K-Pop reports. They are portrayed by actors Lee Jun Ki, Kang Ha Neul, Hong Jong Hyun,Nam Joo Hyuk, Ji Soo and EXO's Baekhyun.

IU’s sweet private moments with Lee, Kang, and Baekhyun were also shown. Meanwhile, still shots of the actors flaunting their fit sculpted body will surely add the viewers’ excitement.

“Scarlet Heart: Ryeo” is a Korean remake of the Chinese novel “Bu Bu Jing Xin” by the renowned Chinese contemporary romance novelists Tong Hua. It is set to be aired on SBS on Aug. 29 at 10 pm.

In the historical drama, IU will play the role of the lead character Go Ha Jin who time traveled to the Later Baekje Kingdom which is dated from year 892 to 1392, reports Korean Times. Upon waking up, Go found herself in the body of the 16-year-old girl named Hae Soo.

She later met the princes of the kingdom and fell in love with the mysterious 4th prince Wang So who hides half of his face with a mask. Because of his strong character, he is feared by the people and labeled as "dog-wolf."

IU, born as Lee Ji Eun, started her career as a singer 2008. She later made her way to the acting scene and starred in hit dramas like “Dream High” and “The Producers.”
