The revival of Fox's hit TV series "Prison Break" will have its biggest break ever when it returns to TV in 2017.

With the release of its new trailer, "Prison Break" followers can expect a more dramatic and action-pack in the upcoming season. Also, original characters can still be seen in "Prison Break" Season 5, especially Michael Scofield and Lincoln Burrows, who are being played by Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell, respectively.

According to Yahoo, fans will be delighted to know that Michael is still alive, since "Prison Break" Season 4 ended with an assumption that Miller's character has died. "I think this is going to be even better than the original Prison Break," said Purcell. In "Prison Break" Season 5, it is expected that his character will help Michael break out not just from prison but from a country.

"You can't imagine a more dangerous situation to be in but all is not as it seems. Breaking out of prison is just the beginning. We have to break out of the country itself," Miller stated.

"Prison Break" Season 5 will start from where it ended in Season 4, wherein Sara and Lincoln thought that Michael is dead, Entertainment Weekly reported.

Season 5 will show that Michael is very much alive but being imprisoned in Yemen for suspicion of terrorism. Upon knowing that Michael is alive, Lincoln immediately plots an idea of breaking his brother out from prison. This plan of another prison break will be executed through the help of some friends.

"All the people you loved from the original 'Prison Break' will all play a very significant role in helping Michael and Lincoln get out of the country," according to Executive Producer Dawn Olmstead. Followers of this suspense drama, hence, can expect a reunion of T-Bag, C-Note and Sucre. Michael's wife, Sara, will also be in Season 5.

For his part, Miller said that Michael's journey has been dark and struggling since the last episode of Season 4.

"In the years since we last saw him, he's been a part of some deep, dark government-funded plots and that has left a mark on him," Miller added.
