Park Yoochun's agency C-JeS Entertainment said on Friday, June 17 that it will be taking legal action against the women who have accused the singer of sexual assault.

"We sincerely apologize for becoming involved in an incident that is greatly affecting society. C-JeS Entertainment has tried to refrain from responding... because we thought it was the proper order to respond legally only after police investigation results came out, rather than to respond to the media when the truth has yet to be determined," the entertainment firm wrote, according to Soompi. "But we have come to see that it is meaningless to wait for the police results as we have observed the various indiscriminate allegations being lodged against Park Yoochun."

The company said it plans to file a complaint about the blackmail and false accusations against Yoochun.

"We plan to actively cooperate with the police investigation to prove Park Yoochun's innocence and for the rehabilitation of his image," the company states.

Earlier this month, four women filed sexual assault complaints against Park Yoochun. The first woman has since dropped the charges and altered her sworn statement.

Meanwhile, the police have designated nine officers to look into Park Yoochun's case. Officials said they will investigate whether the actor is guilty of forcible confinement, prostitution, sexual assault, and other crimes.

However, the police have noted that if the complainants are found to be guilty of any crime, they will also face punishment.
