Talent management agency YG Entertainment has recently revealed that South Korean actress, singer-songwriter, and director Go Hye Sun is still bound to undergo ongoing treatments after being discharged from the hospital due to anaphylactic shock.

"Goo Hye Sun has been discharged from the hospital and will be receiving ongoing treatment," stated the agency as quoted by All KPop adding that the actress will be taking a time off from all her commitments until her condition will stabilize.

The artist was admitted to the hospital on March 24 after suffering from anaphylaxis shock which is a severe allergic digestive dysfunction while on the set of her latest TV drama series “You Are Too Much”. Because of the incident, a representative from the show has revealed that actress Jang Hee Jin will be taking over Goo’s role starting the episode 7 of the series, All KPop reported.

According to an official statement by YG Entertainment on March 24 as quoted by Soompi: “We would like to apologize to the fans and the viewers for making everyone worry. Ku Hye Sun is unable to continue appearing in ‘You’re Too Much’ due to health reasons…”

The agency continued: “After receiving a check up from the hospital, Ku Hye Sun has been diagnosed with a severe, allergic digestive dysfunction, which requires absolute stability and long term treatment. She is following the doctor’s orders and is currently in the hospital. Under these circumstances, the agency and the drama’s production team have come to the conclusion that her health is a top priority. Therefore, we have made the difficult decision of her leaving the drama… We hope that Ku Hye Sun gets well soon, and we thank everyone at MBC. As her agency, we will be trying our best so that the actress returns in a healthy state.”

Goo began her entertainment career in 2002. She rose to fame through her portrayals in the TV drama series “The King And I”, ”Boys Over Flowers”, and ”Blood”.
