Kim Tae Hee and Rain surprised their colleagues and fans when they finally tied the knot last Jan. 19. Despite their popularity, the couple managed to keep their wedding intimate and private, sharing the special day with their families and a few close friends.

After the wedding day, Kim Tae Hee and Rain headed to Bali for their honeymoon. In fact, the couple faced the media at the airport before they took off for Indonesia.

In an interview with Kim Tae Hee, the actress has finally spoken up about her marriage, Rain and everything in between. The "Stairway to Heaven" actress revealed they were supposed to announce their wedding plans last year.

"There were two plans. We could announce it to the media and invite everyone that we knew to a large-scale wedding, or we could hold a top secret wedding and reveal the photos afterwards," she said as per Koreaboo.

After long discussions, Kim Tae Hee said both of them agreed to choose option two, considering the current situation of South Korea's economy. "The economy was suffering, so we didn't want to hold a luxurious wedding given the current state of affairs," the actress added.

Likewise, Kim Tae Hee has also decided to wear a mini dress that she personally designed rather than an extravagant designer wedding dress. When asked about Rain's proposal, the actress shyly answered her husband proposed to her on their wedding day.

"I was proposed to on the day of my wedding. At the banquet reception, [Rain] sang "The Best Present" for me. That was his proposal," Kim Tae Hee revealed.

Rain previously revealed he wrote "The Best Present" for his long-time partner. The song was released for the singer's comeback a couple of days before he married Kim Tae Hee.

Aside from that, Korea Times revealed Kim Tae Hee and Rain sang Eco's "Happy Me" at the after-party of their wedding. An attendee of the ceremony described the event as a "cozy and cheerful gathering," while another one commended the overlooking view of Han River from the venue.

Right now, the newlyweds are temporarily living with Rain's father until the couple will find their own home. Meanwhile, Kim Tae Hee shared she has been learning how to cook after they got married.
