Rain confirms first pre-comeback variety appearance on ‘Flower Crew’

A source affiliated with R.A.I.N. Company confirmed Rain will appear on variety show "Flower Crew" as part of his comeback activities.

According to Soompi, the source revealed on Tuesday that the singer-actor will appear in not only one, but two episodes of "Flower Crew." It added Rain is currently filming the episodes which will be aired on Jan. 8 and 15.

Furthermore, the source added the filming for "Flower Crew" was set in Pocheon, Gyeonggi Province where Rain was joined by other guests including actress Chae Soo Bin and Yura of Girl's Day.

"This is his first variety appearance before his comeback, and it will be aired on January 8 and 15. He will also be appearing on "Ask Us Anything,"" the source said.

Previously, R.A.I.N. Company also announced the singer-actor will make his comeback on Jan. 15, 2017. The news was revealed alongside a teaser poster with the schedule of Rain's return, Allkpop reported,

Aside from that, it was reported that Rain has done a collaboration project for his comeback; however, the singer-actor remained tight-lipped and has kept the details up his sleeves.

One thing is for sure, Rain is done with the filming of his comeback music video. Also, the singer-actor is reported to be rehearsing before he returns on stage in a couple of weeks.

Rain's new music will be his first release after "Rain Effect" was dropped on Jan. 2, 2014. In the following year, the idol announced he will not be renewing his contract with Cube Entertainment.

In the same year, Rain revealed he has created his own agency, R.A.I.N. Company, with the assistance of his manager and colleagues from the entertainment industry.

On top of his music career, Rain has also been busy filming for dramas and movies. In the past year, the singer-actor was seen on "Please Come Back, Mister" and "Endless August."
