BLACKPINK reaches 2 million subscribers on YouTube in 7 months

BLACKPINK's growing family recently surpassed the two million subscription mark on video streaming site YouTube!

According to Allkpop, the four-member girl group launched their YouTube channel last June 28, a month before BLACKPINK made their official debut. The first video that was uploaded in the channel was a dance practice video of a Rihanna's song "B*tch Better Have My Money."

At the time of writing, BLACKPINK has uploaded a total of 35 videos with 2,019,650 subscribers and almost 500 million views. The videos uploaded in the YouTube channel include official MVs of "BOOMBAYAH," "WHISTLE," "PLAYING WITH FIRE" and "STAY."

Aside from those, the girl group has also uploaded several dance practice videos of their own songs, live performances from different music programs as well as teaser videos of their singles.

On Tuesday, BLACKPINK's "BOOMBAYAH" MV reached 100 million views as per Soompi. The girls even celebrated their first hit with an Instagram post, thanking their fans for the support.

"We really want to thank you all for this, especially our Blinks! You guys are the best. We'll continue to bring you greater performances and music videos, so please keep watching over us and loving us," the girl group wrote.

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK has been confirmed to join the lineup of this year's Gaon Chart K-Pop Awards. A representative of the awarding event announced the YG girl group has been added to the initial set of artists who will be performing during the program.

"The initial lineup of SISTAR, EXO, MAMAMOO, GFRIEND, TWICE, Han Dong Gun, Bolbbalgan Sachoongi, Dean, BeWhy, and SHINee's Onew will be joined by BTS, BLACKPINK, GOT7, NCT127, and Urban Zakapa," the source said.
