Preview

Portland is reeling at the moment with three consecutive losses. The team has lost four of their last six games to drop to the ninth spot in the Western Conference standings, only a half-game below current eighth-seeded team Denver Nuggets.

The Blazers were routed by the Charlotte Hornets, 107-85, in their most recent game last Wednesday held on the road at the Spectrum Center, as per Fox Sports.

Damian Lillard had 21 points, seven rebounds, and six assists in a losing effort while backcourt partner CJ McCollum had 18 points, two boards, and four steals. No other Blazers player has scored in double figures as the team shot only 35 percent from the field.

Portland had 15 turnovers during the game, which was one of the reasons why the team never got going on offense, and Lillard mentioned it right after the game.

"We had some turnovers and they took advantage of every little thing," said Lillard. "It seemed like they were getting what they wanted. They played a comfortable game and we didn't make them very uncomfortable."

Meanwhile, the Sixers stunned second-seeded team Toronto Raptors, 94-89, at their home floor of Wells Fargo Center also on Wednesday night for a second straight win, USA Today reported.

Joel Embiid led the squad with 26 points, nine rebounds, two assists, and two blocks in only 27 minutes while Ersan Ilyasova had 18 points, five boards, and two assists. TJ McConnell and Robert Covington scored 10 points each and have combined for 10 rebounds and 10 assists as starters.

It was the fifth win in six games for Philadelphia as they are now settled in the third from the last spot in the Eastern Conference.

Prediction

The Blazers are 7-17 on the road this season while the Sixers are 9-14 at home. It would be a close match, but Philadelphia is the slight favorite to win with momentum on their side.
