Preview

Denver has won three consecutive matches after going on a five-game losing slide to move up to the eighth spot in the Western Conference table, one game ahead of ninth-place team Portland Trail Blazers and six games behind seventh-seeded squad Oklahoma City Thunder.

The Nuggets had beaten the reeling Los Angeles Lakers, 127-121, in their most recent match last Tuesday on the road at the Staples Center, as per the Denver Post.

Nikola Jokic top-scored for the squad with 29 points, 15 rebounds, and three blocks while Will Barton added 26 points, four boards, and eight assists as a starter. Kenneth Faried also started and contributed 20 points, seven rebounds, and two assists.

Danilo Gallinari and Emmanuel Mudiay both fired 14 points and have combined for seven rebounds, 12 assists, and three steals in between them.

Wilson Chandler chipped in 14 points, six boards, and four shot blocks to lead the second unit.

Jokic (sprained ankle), Gallinari (ankle injury), and Chandler (personal reasons) are set to miss this game versus the Spurs.

Meanwhile, San Antonio has been struggling in their last few games, losing two of their last four. The team has remained in the second spot in the West despite their recent defeats, three-and-a-half games behind conference leaders Golden State Warriors and one game ahead of third-running team Houston Rockets.

The Spurs bounced back from their previous embarrassing loss to the Phoenix Suns by beating the Minnesota Timberwolves, 122-114, also on Tuesday night at the AT&T Center, Yahoo Sports reported.

Kawhi Leonard had 34 points, seven rebounds, and five assists while LaMarcus Aldridge had 29 points, four boards, three assists, and two blocks to led head coach Gregg Popovich's squad in the match. Tony Parker had 14 points and five assists as the third member of the starting five to score in double digits.

Off the bench, Patty Mills contributed 11 points and four assists in only 19 minutes of playing time.
