Rain admits ‘The Best Present’ was inspired by girlfriend Kim Tae Hee

A few days before his official comeback on Sunday, Rain appeared on "Yoo Hee Yeol's Sketchbook," where he performed his newest music and talked about his upcoming album.

The 34-year-old singer-actor graced the stage of the program to perform a new song called "The Best Present." After the showcase, Rain said told MC Yoo that "Yoo Hee Yeol's Sketchbook" was the only show he has noted to perform the new song.

"I was diagnosed with neck disc a month ago... I took some pain killers before going on stage," the singer-actor explained as per Allkpop.

Rain revealed he personally wrote "The Best Present," stating that anyone who is in love has the capability of writing such songs. When asked about the reaction of his girlfriend Kim Tae Hee about the song, the singer-actor turned shy and refused to answer.

Rain and Kim Tae Hee confirmed their relationship in 2013, Soompi cited. Reports stated the two first met in 2011 for the recording of a promotional ad. Despite their busy schedules, the couple makes it a point to spend some time away together.

Last year, Rain and Kim Tae Hee were reported to have spent a three-day vacation on Jeju Island with family and friends. The trip raised speculations among fans who thought the singer-actor has proposed to his long-time girlfriend during the trip.

However, Rain's agency denied the rumors and said there was no particular reason for the Jeju Island trip, adding that Rain and Kim Tae Hee never talked about marriage during their vacation.

Previously, Rain said Kim Tae Hee is the second most important thing in his life next to his family. On the other hand, the actress admitted their relationship is not all sunshine; however, Kim Tae Hee described Rain as a good man who could fill her shortcomings.
