In the latest episode of NBC's action drama "The Blacklist", Alexander has finally been captured. Agnes was rescued safe and sound as well, but it has really been a wonder for viewers if "The Blacklist" would take the dark route of killing the baby should Alexander chose to jump. That baby's death would have resulted a drastically different turn of events, and maybe too much of a tragic for the series.

Liz was finally reunited with her baby, putting an end to the cat-and-mouse game with her biological father. Liz chose to go along with Red's plan, showing there was enough level of trust in him to get her daughter back. But the episode really opened with Rene LeBron telling a few nameless shady men that since their combined assets of $760 million have been frozen by the U.S. government, he is willing to loan them $600 million to get out of dilemma. In exchange, he will get their assets once they are unfrozen, with a little profit of $160 million.

It turned out that Rene LeBron is the man bankrolling Alexander Kirk while all of his assets are frozen by the U.S. government. He is the guy Red needed to know Kirk's whereabouts.

Meanwhile, Cooper called Liz into his office, where she told him about the alleged DNA proof showing that Kirk is her father and Red has been lying to her for three years. He followed up their meeting with a call to Panabaker to tell her about LeBron being captured. It was then revealed to the viewers that the call was bugged by someone. That someone, of course, is Kirk, who immediately had LeBron shot during his transport by the FBI.

However, Lebron was just a bait. Red would later on reveal by sending everyone “Nick’s Pizza”, containing mysterious invitations to a room where they handed over their electronics to a man named Chester, who then performed airport X-rays on them. Once verified, Red explained to them that the Post Office’s system has been hacked, and they cannot risk any digital connections.

In fact, as Lizzie appeared out of a dark corner to explain that their whole fight at the Post Office was just an act as they knew Kirk was listening, and wanted him to think she was mad at Red for coming around to the idea of a Rostova family Sochelnik (Russian Orthodox Christmas).

The group responsible to the hacking of FBI's supposedly impenetrable system was The Thrushes, a crew that hacks the unhackable for two reasons: the technical challenge of the hack itself and cold, hard cash.

While they worked on getting Agnes back from Kirk, the Post Office crew tried figuring out how the Thrushes was able to hack the FBI. Samar met with a former coworker who has worked on one of the Thrushes’ untraceable terrorist attacks, and in the process of showing her the 38 engineers who were killed, Samar spotted one person she was quite certain is not, in fact, dead. It was Aram's girlfriend, Elise.

She then delivered the news straight back to Cooper that Elise is their mole, but he said to keep it hush hush as they still need to use Aram's connection to Elise to get to the Thrushes. But Aram has already figured out the answer first, and he went to the new headquarters to explain his side.

They then had Aram go to home-cooked dinner with Elise to try hack her laptop. But Elise noticed this and in the process beat the hell out of Aram all over his apartment, but Samar and Ressler busted in and saved him.

Red and Liz then arranged a meeting with Kirk at an abandoned New York subway station. But Liz gave Kirk one final call telling him, “Stop — we can’t meet, it’s not safe.” She told him that the FBI and Red know about the mole, but Kirk told her they can meet at a separate location. When she arrived on the rooftop, Agnes was not there.

Kirk said that he needs to deal with Red first. Liz was horrified and told him, “I picked you over him. I lied to everyone for you and now you want to kill him? You can’t do that!” He then brought out Agnes and yelled to her, “This man, he took your mother away from us, took you from me — he will not have my granddaughter.”

But Liz begged to him, “If you love me, if you ever loved me, just give her to me. Please. Otets.” She followed up the Russian with English — “Please, father” — and it sounds very much like a little girl saying the words. He relented and handed over Agnes. Red’s men then took Kirk away to the Post Office custody.
