There are so many actors out there but Marvel would rather wait for Benedict Cumberbatch to play the role of Stephen Strange in "Doctor Strange." In order to have a room for him, the studio was forced to delay the production.

"Doctor Strange" director Scott Derrickson remembered how Cumberbatch initially had to decline the movie due to a schedule conflict with a stage production where he stars in "Hamlet". Derrickson met other candidates that can play the role including Jared Leto, Joaquin Phoenix, and Ryan Gosling but it seems that Cumberbatch is the only and best-suited actor for the role, according to Cinema Blend.

Cumberbatch said, "If you can't jump on board when the ride's going past. that's usually it, so the hugest compliment they paid me was to come back to me. It motivated me to try to fulfill their faith in me."

The production is willing to wait a bit longer for the director to realize the proper vision for the lead. It's a good thing they have faith in Cumberbatch and holding back the release date seems to be a blessing in disguise.

When Doctor Strange met an accident, his surgical career ceased and pursued world expedition seeking a cure for his mutilated hands. He found out about the Ancient One in the long run and in no time journeyed down a different route in life as he acquired the ways of mysticism from her and other users of magic, including Mordo and Wong. Though he was once a sorcerer, it won't be an easy exploration. Besides, he needs to use his new-found skills to fight Kaecilius and his sect.

Good thing for Marvel even if "Doctor Strange" is delayed, they still have another world-class movie to lean on, "Captain America: Civil War" which was released in the UK in April while the US got a May release, Digital Spy reported.

Be ready for the spellbinding twists and turns in the life of "Doctor Strange" when he unleashes his magnificent magic on November 4.
