Tougher days await Clarke Griffin and the gang in "The 100" Season 4 as Executive Producer Jason Rothenberg revealed the Earth will be striking back in the upcoming season of the post-apocalyptic TV series.

According to Rothenberg, the characters will be left with no choice but to fight for their survival as they are facing an unbeatable opponent. "[The story] becomes not trying to stop it, because it's not stoppable, it becomes how do we survive? There are not enough life boats. The Earth is the ark," he said as quoted by Entertainment Weekly.

The EP added Griffin will try to help everyone survive including those who refused to be saved and would like to enjoy until the world ends. "Some people are just done fighting and just want to party until the end of the world," Rothenberg said.

Meanwhile, Eliza Taylor who takes the role of Griffin said it is "interesting to watch a group of people, humans, trying to survive again in a world that - this is an enemy that we can't defeat." She added Griffin will have a hard time getting everyone on board as some are skeptical about her.

On the other hand, Taylor hopes her character would be given time to mourn the death of her on-screen partner Lexa who died during the "The 100" Season 3. "I hope there's time to grieve, I do. Whether or not, that happens though? Or whether or not, it's shown? I don't know. It will be happening internally, always," she said as per Digital Spy.

The 26-year-old actress also revealed Lexa's death was one of the the most difficult scenes she has done for "The 100" series, adding that she was crying the whole time  during the filming of the scene.

Watch out for Griffin as she tries to save the world again in "The 100" Season 4 which returns next year on The CW.
