Superstar Rishi Kapoor undoubtedly does not believe in mincing his words when it comes to responding to baseless rumors. The actor recently clarified to the media that although his son Ranbir Kapoor might be dating his "Jagga Jasoos" co-star Katrina Kaif, the latter does not dare calling him "Papa."

Earlier it was rumored that Ranbir became so close to his rumored girlfriend that she even started calling his father and the yesteryear star as "papa."

"A newspaper reported that she has started calling me, 'Papa.' Rubbish, she wouldn't dare to take such liberties with me," Hindustan Times quoted the 63-year-old actor. The actor further added that he is quite perplexed why he is always dragged into his son's private life.

Despite the actor's declaration he likes to stay away from his son's private life, the fans still believe that Ranbir parted ways with his ex-flame Deepika Padukone owing too much interference from his parents. At the time when the young star parted ways with the model-turned-actress, it was rumored widely that Rishi and his actress wife Neetu Kapoor are somewhere responsible for the unexpected split.

However, Rishi apparently tried to put the rumors of his conflict with the "Bajirao Mastani" actress to rest by wishing her Happy Birthday on Twitter.

"@deepikapadukone Read here that it's your birthday. Well, a very joyous and a"Happy Birthday"God bless you and keep up the good work. Much love," tweeted the veteran actor.

While the tweet appears to be a normal birthday wish, fans were quick to point out that it was a deliberate act by the veteran actor to irk his son's current rumored flame.

Meanwhile, both Ranbir and Padukone have seemingly moved on. While the former will soon be seen in Karan Johar's "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil," the 30-year-old stunning actress has been keeping mum about her upcoming projects, Yahoo News reported. However, her picture with Hollywood star Vin Diesel has triggered the speculation that she might make an appearance in "Fast And Furious 8" too, after starring in "XXX: The Return of Xander Cage."
