Former "Desperate Housewives" actress, Eva Longoria, will be taking the directorial chair as she heads to CW's "Jane the Virgin." She confirms via Twitter that she would be directing episode #303 of the hit dramedy. Fans have been anticipating the upcoming season, as it was also previously confirmed that Jane was no longer keeping her virginity.
The online rumors that Longoria was joining "Jane the Virgin" started when co-star Jaime Camil, who plays Rogelio de la Vega, shared via Instagram that she was checking in the fictional hotel called Marbella Hotel.
The actor wrote to accompany his photo of a check-in desk "Guess who is checking into the Marbella Hotel this Seaso? #Janethevirgin."
Since then, the guessing game about Longoria's role in the upcoming season of "Jane the Virgin" circled in social media. It was not until the actress herself confirmed via her Twitter account that she wasn't going to be part of the cast, but instead, would direct the season's third episode. There were also speculations that aside from directing, Longoria would appear as a guest star. But as of date, Entertainment Weekly reported that no recent announcement has confirmed the rumors.
Meanwhile, fans are awaiting the most anticipated sex scene in "Jane the Virgin" Season 3. Entertainment Online previously reported that Jane Gloriana Villanueva, played by Gina Rodriguez, will no longer remain a virgin n the third season as she finally decides to have sex for the first time.
The audience were expecting that they would be waiting until the finale to witness Jane's big moment. But "Jane the Virgin" executive producer confirmed during the ATX TC Festival that "Yes, yes, yes -- it's happening!" and added that "She'll lose her virginity this year for sure."
