CES, the world's largest annual consumer technology trade show, runs through January 9 and is expected to feature 3,600 exhibitors showing off their latest products and services to more than 150,000 attendees.

LG in partnership with Bang & Olufsen and Google, will bring a high-end audio system and Android Nougat for the upcoming V20.

LG spruced up its top-of-the-line offering, including its in-box headphones with Bang & Olufsen sound system. This means that V20's Quad DAC and B&O audio will only be enjoyed with compatible headphones.

Unlike the modular hi-Fi DAC module in the flagship LG G5, LG suggested that the sound system will be built into the V20, Slash Gear reported. This is the second time that the two companies have worked together. The current flagship LG G5 is equipped with a Hi-Fi DAC module created by the same company.

Boasting a 32-bit Quad Digital-to-Analog Converter or DAC, a first in the smartphone industry, the LG V20 will also be the first smartphone to ship Android 7.0 (nougat), Android Central reported. The report has since been confirmed by Google.

As for specifications, the phone will reportedly have a slightly small screen size compared to its predecessor with 5.5 in Quad-HD screen instead of 5.7in. Fans speculate that the V20 will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor pared with 4GB of RAM with at least 32GB of internal storage with option for expansion via microSD card. It is also expected to come with a LG flagship standard power button and fingerprint sensor that sits on its rear.

V20 is touted to compete head to head with Samsung Galaxy Note 7, which expects an update to Nougat within two to three months after its release.

LG V20 will officially hit the market on September 6, 2016.
