Michael Bay took to Instagram to reveal the first look at Drift's new car mode in the upcoming "Transformers: The Last Night." He also hinted the return of Optimus Prime and his nemesis, Megatron.

Drift was first introduced in "Transformers: Age of Extinction." He used to be a Decepticon who later turned into an Autobot. He was a rare triple threat robot that transformed from a swordsman into a Sikorsky S-97 Raider Helicopter and a Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse. Though his samurai form will be retained, he will change into a Mercedes-Benz GT R.

Bay expressed excitement as he returns to direct "Transformers: The Last Night." He was also responsible for the previous installments of the franchise. Though the specifics for the film are scarce, Cinema Blend reported that Optimus Prime and Megatron will likely be returning. There will also be new characters such as Hot Rod and the lovable Squeeks.

Squeeks was first introduced by Bay a few months ago. He is an adorable blue colored type of Autobot. He will befriend the new and youngest cast Isabela Moner who will play the character of Izabella. According to Comic Book, Bay described Squeeks as small with a big heart. He will be one amongst the many other transformers in disguise in "Transformers: The Last Night."

Since its release in the year 2007, "Transformers" has been considered a top grossing franchise. Given this, Paramount Pictures is carefully preparing for the fifth installment. Mark Wahlberg will reprise his role as Cade Yeager and will be joined by Tyrese Gibson who will play Robert Epps.

"Transformers: The Last Night" is slated for release on June 23, 2017.
