"Limitless" fans were disappointed to hear when CBS axed out the series in their 2016-2017 line-up. The cancellation was not received well and many petitioned the network for a renewal. Recent news are circling that fans are boycotting the network for their decision since the show is doing well in Netflix, especially after scoring an Emmy Nomination. There were hopes that the network would pick up the show for a second season, but it doesn't seem so.

"Limitless" fans turned to Care2 Petitions to voice out their desire for the shows renewal. As of this writing, the petition already has a total of 8,472 supporters. The initial goal was to gather 6,000 supporters and now, it has stretched to 9,000. There have been rumors that Netflix would take in the renewal but the shows head writer and executive producer, Craig Sweeney, announced in Twitter that it was not likely.

Meanwhile, Deadline reported that the cast of "Limitless" has been released from their contracts, as Jake Mcdorman already signed off to do a feature film called "Ideal Home." Jennifer Carpenter, who was pregnant while filming her scenes as Rebecca Harris last year, just got married to her husband, Seth Avett. Hill Harper, who played who played FBI agent Spellman Boyle, is currently working on a new film titled "An Interview with God."

The production team thinks that even if "Limitless" Season 2 would push through, it would be impossible to begin filming given the busy schedules of the cast. The verdict is that, the show has ended and despite the demands of many viewers, no other network has expressed the desire to pick up the show.
