'Baahubali' hits theaters in China; Prabhas, Rana Daggubati and Tamannaah starrer epic fantasy drama gets record number of screens in Mainland

One of India's biggest blockbuster movie "Baahubali: The Beginning" has finally hit theaters in China.

S.S. Rajamouli's epic fantasy drama, starring Prabhas, Rana Duggubati, Tamannaah Bhatia, Anushka Shetty, was released on record number of 5000 screens in Mainland China on Friday (July 22, 2016), Telugu Cinema reported. It is expected to do massive business in the country as movie's lead actor is quite popular among Chinese viewers. The movie was released in 2-D and Demax formats.

Prabhas expressed his excitement ahead of "Baahubali's" Chinese version release. "My team has been sharing with me all the feedback to the content that has been released in China and the excitement they have for the film. It is so overwhelming," Indo Asian News Service qouted the actor as saying. "I can't wait for audiences there to watch the film."

"Baahubali: The Beginning" was released in India in 2015 and managed to do business over 600 crore rupees. It was released in Telugu and Tamil languages and dubbed in Hindi, Malayalam and several other Indian and foreign languages.

Director Rajamouli has retained the original star cast for movie's second part. The shooting for "Baahubali: The Conclusion" is underway in Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad. "Baahubali 2" will also feature Ramya Krishna, Nasser, Sathyaraj, Kiccha Sudeepa, Adivi Sesh, Rakesh Varre, Meka Ramakrishna in important roles.
