"The Winds of Winter," the most anticipated novel of George R.R. Martin, is yet to be finished. Reportedly, Martin is distracted and more interested in watching television shows "Outlander" and "Penny Dreadful."

"The Winds of Winter" was started by Martin in 2006, but is still undone. Speculations started circulating that the author has been busy with conventions. However, fans found out that he has been busy watching television series. His LiveJournal comments also confirmed the discovery.

Martin, the author of "The Winds of Winter," through his LiveJournal recently congratulated "Game of Thrones" for 23 Emmy nominations. A fan on his LiveJournal commented that "Outlander" should have gotten a nomination in the technical category and Martin immediately replied that the show got "robbed" in the year's Emmy.

Aside from "Outlander," the author admitted that he has a soft spot for the show, "Penny Dreadful." Martin declared that Eva Green should have gotten a nominee for her portrayal of Vanessa Ives. The Winds of Winter" author ended his series of comments by saying that there are many great shows that should be watched. According to numerous reports, he was referring to those that did not get an Emmy nomination this year.

Other reports are also speculating about the novel's cause of delay. There is big possibility that Martin is simultaneously working on two of his books, "The Winds of Winter" and "A Dream of Spring," the series' seventh novel, Parent Herald reported. The combined workload is reportedly sufficient to result in a delay.

Meanwhile, "A Song of Ice and Fire's" fans are wishing that the sixth novel will be completed soon. Fans are speculating that the novel will be published before the HBO hit series "Game of Thrones" Season 7 premieres, Winter is Coming reported.  Watch "Game of Thrones" Season 7 predictions below.
