Being 72-years-old and a great-grandfather is not stopping Mick Jagger from being a father again.
In fact, his girlfriend of two years, 29-year-old ballerina Melanie Hamrick is pregnant with Jagger's eighth child. This will make her first child. Although she is pregnant with his baby, that does not mean she will make an honest man out of him because, according to Ultimate Classic Rock, Jagger says he likes the arrangement the couple have together now, and there will not be any wedding bells any time soon for them.
A close source to the couple tells Ultimate Classic Rock that although Jagger and Hamrick are surprised, they are very happy that they are having a baby. He started dating the latter in 2014 when their relationship got serious after his previous girlfriend, L'Wren Scott, who he had been with for a while, killed herself.
There are plans for Hamrick to move out of New York and either move to Los Angeles to be close to Jagger, since he spends most of his time there, or to move to Connecticut where she has friends and family. Either way, she will not be alone, which is a good idea since this will be her first pregnancy and first child. The spokesperson has confirmed that Hamrick is more than three months pregnant.
People states Jagger has seven other children and all but three of these children, from previous relationships, are older than Hamrick. His other children's names include Georgia, James, Jade, Elizabeth, Lucas, Karis, and Gabriel. Jagger's oldest child is 45-years-old and his youngest is just 17.
Jagger is not the only member of the Rolling Stones who is welcoming a new baby into the world. His band mate from the rock group, Ronnie Wood just recently welcomed twin girls, his fifth and sixth babies, into the world during the end of May.
Although Hamrick, Jagger's pregnant girlfriend, was already planning on ending her dancing career as a ballerina, being more than three months along just means she has to end her career a lot sooner than she was already planning to do.
Not only is Jagger going to be a father again, for the eighth time, he is a great-grandfather to his granddaughter, Assisi Jagger's, new baby girl. Assisi is the daughter to his only child, Jade Jagger who he had with his ex-wife Bianca Jagger.
