Song Joong Ki's casting on the rumored Chinese drama, titled "Honey, the Scent of Love," is yet to be confirmed.

In the recent survey, he ranked first among the most popular actors in China in 2016, and as a result of his sudden burst to stardom, he receives project offers not just in South Korea but also from other countries. Just recently, a Chinese media outlet has reported that Song will star in a rumored Chinese drama, which will reportedly be produced by the same crew as that of "Descendants of the Sun."

Reports further suggest that Joong Ki is scheduled to shoot for the said drama right after shooting his movie "Battleship Island." However, before everybody gets excited about this news, Blossom Entertainment, Song's agency, is quick to deny the rumors. According to the agency, "Aside from Battleship Island," no other projects have been confirmed.

According to Blossom Entertainment, even if Song is currently receiving a lot of offers from Korea and China, he hasn't decided what project to take as of the moment. It is said that they have to look more carefully into the offer from "Honey, the Scent of Love."

At present, fans are very much excited for his upcoming movie "Battleship Island." According to Yibada, during Song's interview with Marie Claire Korea, he shared that he will be playing the role of Park Moo Young in this historical period drama, along with Hwang Jung Min, So Ji Sub and Lee Jong Hyung.

The movie revolves around the story of almost 400 koreans who were exploited on Hashima island during the Japanese colonial period sometime in 1940s and their struggles to get out of the said place. The actor also revealed that he is currently doing rigorous training and strict diet to better portray his role in the movie.

The camera started rolling for the movie in June 17, and it is expected to hit the big screens after five to seven months.
