Roberto Escobar asks for $1 billion from Netflix for utilizing content for "Narcos" without their permission. After watching "Narcos" Season 1, Escobar insisted that there are numerous obvious lies and discrepancies about the real life story of Pablo Escobar, his brother.

Roberto's letter to Netflix reflected the rights of the Escobar family, as well as Pablo's, Yahoo Finance reported. According to Escobar's letter, he was not impressed with "Paraiso Tropical" actor Wagner Moura, who played as his brother Pablo. He also added that the actor is not effective, as Moura has not had any opportunity to hold billions of dollars, not once in his life.

In "Narcos" Season 1, Roberto also claimed in an interview that his role was changed. Regarding the payment demand, Netflix has not released official statement yet on whether they are willing to pay or not.

"Narcos" Season 2 release cannot happen unless proper negotiation is done, and that the action should be initiated by Netflix, Variety reported. However, reports about "Narcos" Season 2's premiere date and trailer have surfaced already.

Meanwhile, in the previous month's production, the "Narcos" series' main issue was what the show shall do in the "Narcos" Season 2 once Pablo's life comes to an end.

"Narcos" Season 1 executive producer Eric Newman said that there are more stories to tell on "Narcos" beyond the life of Pablo. He also added that they are trying to achieve a sense of realism in the series.

The "Narcos" production planned to reenact the death scene in the actual place where Escobar was shot. However, the current tenants did not allow them to execute what was planned. With the turnout of events, the production has reportedly believed that the people of Medellin have high respects for the late Pablo.

"Narcos" lead character Pablo is a famous drug dealer in Columbia and in the United States. He supplied 80 percent of total amount of cocaine that reach the American border. Reportedly, he was often seen talking with the poor citizens of the abandoned Columbian city. Watch the official trailer here.
