The Comic-Con is a Mecca for comic book fans, and is known to be a platform in showing footage from highly anticipated superhero movies. With "Guardians of the Galaxy" wrapping up shooting a few weeks ago, it is expected that Gunn has enough material to show at the event. which will be held on July 21 to 24.

Gunn also shared in Twitter that the villain Nebula, who is played by Karen Gillan, will do a much bigger role in "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2," as compared to the first, GamesRadar reported. Nebula, who is the sister of Gamora, did not have too much screen time on the first movie. The tweet from Gunn is expected to spark excitement among fans, who were impressed by Gillan's portrayal of the rebellious daughter of Thanos, despite her limited screen time.

"Guardians of the Galaxy 2" is expected to be a big hit based on the reception of the first film. It will hit theaters in May 2017, and it is expected that the official trailer for the movie will be shown before the end of the year.
