Lie to Me actress Erika Christensen and cyclist husband Cole Maness welcomed a baby girl named Shane Maness on Tuesday, June 21. This is the actress' first brush with motherhood, and she is excited about it based on her updates on social media.
Baby Shane was born on Tuesday night in the state of California weighing 6 lbs. and 3 oz., just a few hours after Christensen posted an update on her Twitter account saying, "I'm in labor. Right now."
The 33-year-old actress, together with husband Maness, who she married in September, announced their pregnancy in March via Twitter. She posted a picture of their puppy which she captioned with the exciting news, "This boy is getting a little sister. A human sister."
Christensen continued to share images on her Instagram account. One picture showed her on the beach in Hawaii happily displaying her baby bump while in a blue bathing suit. Another one showed her in a white dress while holding her tummy.
In an interview with People in April, Christensen revealed that pregnancy seemed surreal for her and her husband. She further expressed her joy over the movement she felt from her baby's kicks and her reaction to the music she and her husband played.
Early in May, the couple also held a private baby shower at the Beverly Hills mansion of director and stylist to the stars Sophia Banks, a close friend to both Christensen and Maness. They were joined by other celebrities including Lauren Graham and Mae Whitman.
