Soyeon shared her thoughts recently on the longevity of T-ara and how the group has gotten over the "7-year curse" that afflicts a lot of girl groups. She made the revelations during an interview and photo shoot with International bnt.

Asked during the interview how T-ara overcame the so-called curse, Soyeon replied that one of the reasons is that they listen to their label. She stated that the label is like a parent who teaches them everything and leads them down the good road.

She was also asked why she thinks T-ara is so well-loved and popular. The singer said that she believes that it is because they focus on creating music that would appeal to and would be enjoyed by a wide range of people rather than trying to look too pretty or cool.

Soyeon also mentioned that they are currently preparing for their concert and promotional engagements in China. The singer revealed that T-ara had a meeting with their fans recently in Japan. She confirmed that she was also filming a web drama which will start airing in July.

When asked what is different about her now that she is 30, Soyeon commented that her values are different now. She noted that while the environment is still the same, a lot has changed for her.

Soyeon is one of the members of T-ara. The all-girl group debuted in 2009. Soyeon joined them shortly after Jiae and Jiwon withdrew from the group. The group debuted with the album Absolute First Album, which spawned numerous hits such as You Drive Me Crazy, Bo Peep Bo Peep and TTL (Time To Love).
