By Staff Reporter | Jun 20, 2016 04:24 PM EDT

Kim Taeyeon of Girls' Generation is making a comeback as a solo artist with her mini album, "Why" which will be released on June 28.  Avid fans of the Girls' Generation lead singer are excited about the upcoming project.

Even before she became a member of the hit K-pop group Girls' Generation, Taeyoen was already been making waves as a solo artist in South Korea.  She may not have been as popular as she was after becoming the Girls' Generation leader, but according to Hype, she sang for movie soundtracks and dramas in South Korea. "Closer," "The Wind Blows," "To The Beautiful You," "And One," and "That Winter" are just some of the popular dramas and movies that she created soundtracks for.

Taeyeon and her team have released teaser photos for her fans in anticipation of her new album.  SBS Pop Asia showed some of the images from Taoeyeon's solo mini album "Why."

There is not much information about her upcoming album probably because Taeyeon and her team want to surprise fans.

We will update you with Taeyeon's concerts dates and her promotional schedule once it is available.
