It has been confirmed! The South Korean girl group 4 minute will finally end their seven-year collaboration in the entertainment industry after the singers decided not to renew their contracts with agency Cube Entertainment.

“All four of the members deliberated for a long time on whether or not they wanted to renew their contracts. Ultimately, they decided not to renew and subsequently left Cube Entertainment,” the record label company announced on June 16, according to Soompi.

The Seoul-based company added that the group had gained a lot of experiences and formed a solid bond in the course of their career. The company gave its blessings to the girls as they embark on the new chapters of their lives and asked fans to remain supportive to them.

Formed in 2009, the K-Pop group was composed of five girls. They are Nam Ji-hyun, Heo Ga-yoon, Jeon Ji-yoon, Kim Hyun-an, and Kwon So-hyun.

In June 2009, the group released its first single ‘Hot Issue.’ Two months later, their mini-album ‘For Muzic’ was made available to the public.

4 minute has released seven mini-albums and a studio album on 2011 in Korea. The girl band is also active in Japan. In 2010, they released an album named ‘Diamond’ in the country.

4 minutes has received numerous nominations and awards both in Korea and Japan including the New Comers Award from the 24th Golden Disk Awards and Bonsang Awards from the 20th, 21st, and 23rd Seoul Music Awards.

At the moment, the members of the group have not yet revealed their plans for the future.
