After months of speculations, South Korean star Go Won Hee broke her silence and revealed to the public that she and actor Lee Ha Yool have made their romance on the KBS TV drama series ‘The Stars Are Shining’ into a real one.
The actress confirmed the rumors on ‘Happy Together,’ one of the most popular Korean variety shows on KBS, with the approval from her parents and agency on June 9.
Go said that she and Lee have been dating for almost eight months already, in acknowledgment of an article published by a blogger which unveiled the status of their relationship.
The celebrity couple worked together for ‘The Stars Are Shining’ from August 2015 to February this year.
In the drama series, Go played Jo Bong-hee, a woman who faced trials after her father’s death but later became South Korea’s best fashion designer.
Lee, on the other hand, portrayed the character of Yoon Jong Hyun, the love interest of Go’s character.
Rumors that the couple is dating started in November 2015 when a broadcast official revealed to Korean news agency MBN Star that Go and Lee had been dating.
Lee’s agency, L&JIHO, however, denied the gossips and claimed that the two actors are only close friends.
Lee and Go both started their career in the Korean entertainment scene in 2011.
Go is best known for her roles in ‘Cruel Palace - War of Flowers,’ ‘My Dear Cat,’ and the ‘Tabloid Truth.’ She also appeared in a music video of the song ‘One Spring Day’ by 2AM.
Lee, on the other hand, played supporting roles in ‘Late Night Hospital,’ ‘Angel Eyes,’ and ‘Diary of a Night Watchman,’ before getting a leading role in ‘The Stars Are Shining.’
