"Split" is a movie that stars James McAvoy as someone who has multiple personalities, 24 to be exact. The success of the film leads to fans wondering if there is a sequel and based on M. Night Shyamalan's tweet, it is looking like there is.
In an article published by Collider, the director of "Split" is also known for making the movie, "Unbreakable" a box office hit. For those who are not aware, it would look like "Split" is actually "Unbreakable's" sequel. The said movie starred Bruce Willis as David Dunn who discovered he has a superpower after surviving a horrific train wreck.
David Dunn is someone whose skin is unbreakable. In the movie "Split," the ending later on revealed that the scenes and some of its angles are interconnected to "Unbreakable." For years, fans have wished M. Night Shyamalan to create a sequel for "Unbreakable" and now a lot are saying that this is actually it and the next one that comes after this could be treated as "Unbreakable 3."
Bruce Willis even has a cameo on "Split" and that also confirms everyone's assumption of it. Hence, there is also a possibility that Samuel L. Jackson could reprise his role as Mr. Glass on "Split 2."
Director M. Night Shyamalan didn't reveal much about him working on the sequel to "Split," however he tweeted something that sparked the curiosity of fans. He said that he has an 11-page outline for his next film in his bag. He continued with, "I can't tell you what it is. But if you've seen #Split..." He left his tweet in such suspense but it is safe to say that he is making a sequel out of it since he mentioned "Split" in it.
Meanwhile, according to Cinema Blend, Samuel L. Jackson said it would be a good idea if David Dunn's character would fight with Kevin Wendell's on "Split 2". Looks like it could happen should Bruce Willis be on the next "Split" movie.
