Park Bom recently revealed that she is still an YG Entertainment artist. The former 2NE1 member addressed the issue through her Twiiter account.

On Feb. 20, one fan asked the 32-year old singer through Twitter, "Bommie unnie, you're happy after you left YG?" In response, Bom tweeted, "I did?? Kkkk I left YG??" Allkpop reported.

The singer's answer bewildered many of her fans. It can be recalled that in November 2016, YG Entertainment officially announced the disbandment of their group 2NE1. Following this announcement, YG also confirmed that only CL and Dara renewed their contract.

The group stayed with the label for almost seven years after debuting with their hit single "Fire" in 2009. "We're deeply saddened to let [2NE1] go after seven year but decided it is better for the members to pursue their solo careers," Billboard reported.

Before disbanding, 2NE1 was YG Entertainment's most prominent female act and their only active K-pop girl group before Blackpink. The group is known for their aggressive and fashion-forward persona.

In 2014, the group almost stopped all their activities after Bom came under fire for illegally importing medication from the United States. The incident happened way back in 2010 where the prosecutors decided to suspend her case.

It can be recalled that the prosecutors from the 30th said that Bom tried to smuggle 82 pills of amphetamines from the United States through FedEx. However, it was caught by customs at the Incheon International Airport.

Although the drug is used for medical treatment purposes, it is heavily regulated or sometimes outright banned in other countries. The drug is a strong central nerve system stimulant and can cause complications when abused.

Meanwhile, reports reveal that Bom is currently busy preparing for her solo album this year. The singer confirmed the news on her Twitter account, after a fan asked about her solo comeback.
