February has started, and aside from looking forward to Valentine's day, fandoms in the world of KPOP are already laying out plans for the birthday celebration of their idols. Fans of Korean stars are known to be very extravagant when it comes to choosing the best gifts for their favorite artists so the celebrants are really thankful.
Then again, fans do not always go for material things to give as gifts. In celebration of their idols' birthdays, many groups prefer to raise funds to help the needy. They donate money and goods to the less fortunate and such deeds really make stars feel so proud of their fans.
In 2014, Jang Keun Suk's fan club called Cri-J donated around $9,500 to charity in honor of the actor's 27th birthday, Kpop Sugar reported. This fan club is also known to donate sacks of rice and this turned into a yearly pledge for them.
