Russell Peters stole the show in Oman when he joked for 90 minutes in front of the audiences at Muscat on Feb. 1, as a part of his series "Russell Peters Almost Famous World tour."

The World-famous comedian allowed the audience to laugh at mere jokes involving cultures of their own. Indian-based jokes dominated the show, and surprisingly enough, there was a huge Indian turnout at the show.

Before he hit the stage, Gregg Rogell, another comedian usually based in New York, warmed up and fascinated the audience for 30 minutes. Then later on, Peters came in playing off his multicultural card through his funny stories. He brought it out in a manner that took the attention of the audience.

For instance, crafting a tale out of reality, he told the story of the discovery of a Columbian man who identified himself a doctor. This unleashed him into a hilarious impromptu sketch where an airline attendant inquired if there was a doctor on board to help out a passenger who was having a heart attack. Amusingly, the psychiatrist agreed to talk to the passenger to get to the bottom of the belief that he actually had a heart attack.

Although Peters' jokes displayed his deep knowledge of Oman and were positively embraced by the audience, they required open-mindedness from the audience. Despite everything, based on the testimonials of some of the fans, the comedian wowed his Oman-based supporters beyond their expectations.

Arun Visruthan, a fan from Oman who had purchased the OMG 75 VIP ticket, told Times of Man that he did not know how quickly the time in the show had passed. He asserted that they laughed their hearts out and he was glad that he did not miss the show like he did the last time Peters visited Muscat.

Overall, Peters' performance was considered brilliant and it made up for the long wait that the attendants went through to have their tickets validated.

According to South China morning post, Peters' comic stardom has turned him into a Forbes-listed comic with a rich worldwide fan base. His artistic prowess of bringing cultures together through comedy in a multitude of nationalities in his world tour continues to impress his fan base.

The comedian will progress with his tour in Asia and is expected to visit Macau for the first time in Studio City on Feb. 26.
