The Orlando Magic (19-30) and Minnesota Timberwolves (18-29) will clash in a 2016-2017 NBA regular season game on Monday, Jan. 30 at the Target Center in Minneapolis.

Orlando is on a downward spiral right now after losing six of their last eight games. The team is currently fourth from the last place in the East, two games behind 11th-place squad New York Knicks and a half-game ahead of 13th-place club Miami Heat.

The Magic edged East contenders Toronto Raptors, 114-113, on the road at the Air Canada Centre on Sunday night to snap a three-game losing slide, as per the Orlando Sentinel.

Nikola Vucevic led four Magic starters in double-digit scoring with 25 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, and four blocked shots. CJ Watson had 15 points while Serge Ibaka added 12 points and seven boards. Elfrid Payton was the fourth starter in double figures with 11 points, 10 assists, and four rebounds.

Off the bench, point guard DJ Augustin produced 21 points and three assists while veteran wingman Jeff Green chipped in 16 points, three boards, two assists, and two steals.

Meanwhile, the Wolves are steadily rising right now with four wins in their last five outings. The team is also fourth from the last place in the Western Conference table, one game above 13th-place Dallas Mavericks and a half-game behind 11th-place New Orleans Pelicans.

Minnesota has successfully bounced back from their previous defeat to the Indiana Pacers by routing the Brooklyn Nets, 129-109, also at the Target Center last Saturday, Yahoo Sports reported.

Karl-Anthony Towns had a monster performance with 37 points on 15-for-26 field goal shooting, 13 rebounds, and four blocked shots with one assist and one steal. Andrew Wiggins backed him up with 23 points, three boards, and four assists while Zach LaVine had 20 points, six rebounds, two assists, and two steals.

Gorgui Dieng was the fourth member of the starting five in double figures with 12 points, 10 boards, four assists, and two steals. Shabazz Muhammad fired 18 points off the bench.

Prediction 

The Magic is 11-15 on the road this season while the Wolves are 11-14 at home. It would be a close match but Minnesota is predicted to prevail at home.
