After joining the Women's March last week, Rihanna received a lot of negative and harsh comments because of what she wore in the protest. Her Instagram post wearing a fur scarf became an Internet controversy on Jan. 28.

MTV posted an article featuring Rihanna but only writing about how she rocked wearing the whole ensemble including the fur. At first, there are some praises about her outfit, but later on, more and more people came bashing her for stunting a fur on her shoulder.

Elle Magazine also only had praises for the popstar, even saying that it is impossible for anyone to outdo her fashion sense. They liked how she stand out during a protest in New York for women's rights. The only problem is that they forgot how some people would have a different reaction to it because of the fur that was part of her outfit.

Some of the most outrageous comments from Instagram users include a lot of derogative remarks towards the "Work" singer. It didn't help that another organization whose aim and work is to save animals posted a disturbing and graphic video of how raccoons are skinned for their fur and eventually killed just to produce fur for clothing and accessories.

The said video was posted by Black Jaguar Tiger on Instagram and it has gained more than a million views in less than a day. It didn't only feature how raccoons suffer before they are skinned for their fur but it was also placed right beside's Rihanna's outfit during the Women's March protest in New York.

This intensified people's reaction towards Rihanna, as they started calling her names like a hypocrite and other inappropriate words. Vegans and animal rights advocates were the ones who are mostly mad about the popstar's insensitive display of fur in a meaningful march.
