"Saw Legacy," the latest sequel to the "Saw" franchise, has recruited two new actresses to board its cast.

In a report from Variety, it was announced that Laura Vandervoort - who played Indigo on the CW's "Supergirl" - will play a role on "Saw" Legacy." She is joined by Hannah Holland, who made a guest starring appearance on fellow CW series, "Reign," as Rowan. At this point, details on Vandervoort and Holland's character are being kept under wraps. The torture film is now in post-production process after shooting in Vancouver last year.

Plot details about "Saw: Legacy" have not been made available at this point. On casting, it appears that actor Tobin Bell will reprise his role as Jigsaw - according to the film's IMDB page. This information is yet to be confirmed by the producers. Bell is currently lending his voice to the CW's "The Flash" as the latest Big Bad, Savitar.

Saw debuted in theaters in 2004 and has since then become a staple in horror movies. It follows John Kramer aka the "Jigsaw Killer" who traps his victims in his torture house to test their willingness to fight for their lives. The film spawned seven sequels from 2005 until 2010 with "Saw 3D: The Final Chapter."

Produced by Twisted Pictures, "Saw: Legacy" is co-directed by siblings Peter and Michael Spierig with a screenplay penned by Pete Goldfinger, Josh Stolberg, James Wan and Leigh Whannel. Mark Burg, Gregg Hoffman and Oren Koules all serve as producers.

The first "Saw" movie marked as Wan's feature film directorial debut with an estimated budget of $1.2 million. It became a smash success, grossing more than $56 million at the box office. Danny Glover (Touch), Monica Potter (Parenthood), Ken Leung (The Night Shift), Michael Emerson (Person of Interest), Cary Elwes (The X-Files) also starred.

"Saw: Legacy" will open in theaters on October 27, 2017.
