After years of the eager comeback requests from the fans, Cartoon Network has finally confirmed the return of the action-filled animated TV series “Samurai Jack”.

The good news was confirmed by a network representative during the promotional event for Adult Swim on Jan. 23, The Verge reported. Furthermore, it was revealed that the program is set to premiere on March 11 at 11:30 p.m.

Following Cartoon Network’s announcement, graphic artist Nate Caboose Jr. posted a video on his Twitter account featuring a question from a fan who if when will “Samurai Jack” come back on the TV screens. His inquiry was answered by the date and time of the program’s upcoming premiere.

“The premiere of the new season of Samurai Jack has finally been revealed,” reads Caboose’s tweet.

Cartoon Network had previously released a 5-second teaser which reveals the show’s comeback. However, it was halted due to some production issues. According to Polygon, “Samurai Jack” creator Genndy Tartakovsky, who is recognized for his works such as “Dexter's Laboratory”, ”Star Wars: Clone Wars”, as well as the two installments of the 3D comedy film“Hotel Transylvania”, revealed in July last year during the San Diego Comic-Con that the show’s new season will be having a total of 10 episodes during its run.

“Samurai Jack” unfolds the journey of Jack, a young Japanese prince, and his quest to defeat the shape-shifting demon named Aku. The original series premiered on August 2001 and ended in September 2004.

The young prince and Aku are voiced by American actor, voice actor and comedian Phil LaMarr and award-wining voice artist Mako Iwamatsu respectively. Furthermore, the characters are inspired by the historical drama film “Lawrence of Arabia”, as well as the works of ”Seven Samurai” director Akira Kurosawa and David Lean of “Doctor Zhivago”.
