Bollywood movies calendar 2016; What to expect in February

In January 2016, Bollywood started with endowing its viewers with big releases like Akshay Kumar's "Airlift," a film that made its roots a reality of everyday happenings in the world, which wowed both fans and critics alike. However, the number of releases may not surpass those to come in February.

Here is a look of some of the most anticipated Bollywood movies this month:

1. "Sanam Teri Kasam"

The film is a romantic tragedy featuring Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane. It was produced by Deepak Mukut and directed by Vinay Sapru and Radhika Rao. The movie features a music that will certainly please the viewers, Times of India reported. The trailer was released on Dec. 15, 2015, with a fresh poster and a Feb. 5 release date.

2. "Ghayal Once Again"

"Ghayal Once Again" is an action drama film to premiere on Feb. 5, featuring Sunny Deol, who makes a comeback with a sequel to the 1990 blockbuster "Ghayal." The film stars four youngsters acting in pivotal roles.

3. "Fitoor"

This Abhishek Kapoor film is a modification of Charles Dicken's "The Great Expectation." The movie stars Aditya Roy Kapoor, Tabu, and Katrina Kaif which is set in the background of Kashmir. The story features a romantic saga of Firdaus and Noor, which was written by Kappor and Kaif. The official release date of the film will be on Feb. 12.

3. "Rhythm"

It is an upcoming romantic musical film, which is directed and produced by Vivek Kumar. It has been in the making for over six years, and stars Rinil Routh and Adeel Chaudhry as the lead casts. "Rhythm" was shot in Poland and will have a Feb. 19 debut.

4. "Neerja"

The film features Sonam Kapoor, who essays the titular role, and Neerja Bhanot, a star who got posthumously conferred with the Ashoka Chakra award in 1987. According to Zee News, Bhanot was the youngest and first female ever to receive the medal. The film will premiere on Feb. 19.

5. "Tere Bin Laden Dead or Alive"

The film is a sequel to the 2010 super-hit "Tere bin Laden." It stars Pradhuman Singh, Sikandar and Manish Paul, who act in pivotal roles. Expectations are high for the fans, owing to the trailer of the film receiving a massive positive response. The film's official release date is on Feb. 19.
